FAQs

What types of EV chargers are available and which one is right for me?

Level 1 AC Chargers such as the Altreon Brook Series are ideal for overnight charging at home. They operate on standard household outlets (120V) and typically provide 2-5 miles of range per hour.

Level 2 AC Chargers such as the Altreon Cascade Series are suitable for homes and businesses with dedicated EV circuits (240V). They deliver about 20 30 miles of range per hour, significantly faster than Level 1.

Level 3 DC Fast Chargers are pimarily found at public charging stations,
these chargers can add up to 80% battery charge within 20-40 minutes.
Best for use when on extended trips of distances exceeding your
vehicle's range.

The best choice depends on your daily
mileage, available charging time, and your vehicle's compatibility.

Can I use an Altreon EV charger with any electric vehicle?

Altreon EV chargers use the standard connector types found in North America—J1772 for most EVs and NACS (formerly Tesla) for Tesla and some newer models from other manufacturers. We also offer Bridge Series adapters to ensure compatibility between the two connection styles, so you can charge any EV confidently.

Is there a warranty for Altreon EV charging equipment?

Yes. All Altreon EV charging equipment is backed by a one-year limited warranty, which covers manufacturing defects and hardware failures. We stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to supporting every customer with reliable, long-lasting gear.

Is professional installation required for Altreon EV portable chargers?

No. Altreon EV portable chargers are designed for plug-and-go use—no professional installation required.

  • The Brook Series plugs into any standard 120V outlet, commonly found in homes, garages, and workplaces.
  • The Cascade Series uses 240V outlets, similar to those used for dryers or other large appliances.

If you don’t already have a 240V outlet where you plan to charge, we recommend having a licensed electrician install one in a location that’s convenient for your vehicle.
